Actually, I do get a BSOD when I try to select my date/timezone and hit “apply”, and also when I get a window to select the correct IRQ for NE2000 (from IRQ3 to IRQ10). 10/10 times trying to install I get some BSOD or WPE. I can only continue if I choose output=surface, but the install (even if I start with output=surface) is damaged anyway because on second reboot after selecting date/time, it hangs with a Windows Protection Error. When the install finishes copying the files, it asks for a reboot, so I allow it to reboot and dang, crash. I basically started DOSBOX-X with the config file, went into Install, scandisk checks the disk, proceed to the start of the install, choose type of install (custom) and insert all the data it asks and product key. If this helps, When I did the install process of Windows 98SE two days ago with the config file I provided, does not matter if I keep or remove the lines imgmount a -bootcd d and boot -l a on first OS boot during install, it still crashed with the popup message. I still cannot test the files from septemnor the latest changes.
I just borrowed a battery to charge my phone and come online for a few minutes to check out the things. A blackout of 25 hours is still going on so no internet and no power. Just to let you know that I still cannot test.
